Mr. Carroll has devoted thousands of volunteer hours during his career to aid charitable and community organizations to better the community and improve the quality of life of the less fortunate.  Among his areas of special interest are providing services for the blind through the Lions Club, food for the elderly through Meals on Wheels, aid to children with special financial or educational needs through the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation and Dallas Academy and improvement of health care through the Baylor Medical Center Development Council and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  His charitable activities have included serving as an officer and board member of numerous organizations including:
